Eluding Peace

Peace where are you? Why do you elude me? Why do you elude the community and the world?

So much violence taking place in and around sacred spaces. Churches, schools and hospitals…spaces we consider safe. Spaces where we come to be spiritually, emotionally, and physically healed. Spaces where we come to be taught. Places where we come seeking love, knowledge and healing.

The Lord commands that we love one another as we love ourselves. Does peace elude us because we do not love ourselves? And because we do not love ourselves we cannot love others? And because we do not love others we choose to hurt them instead?

Uhmmm! Peace where are you? Why do you elude me? Why do you elude the community and the world?
